Result: 2:0 WIN!!!

Derby’s away form has been nothing short of exceptional ever since late October, and as a result, they are now unbeaten in their last 11 Championship away games. Rowett and his Rams will look to right the wrongs of the weekend in this midweek clash at Sheffield Wednesday.
Sheffield Wednesday appear to have steadied the ship since Jos Luhukay took over from Carvalhal. Luhukay is unbeaten in four of his five league games since taking the helm (D4, L1); yet the Owls are still finding it hard to turn draws into wins.
Derby saw Aston Villa leapfrog them into second after dropping points against Norwich at the weekend. With chances few and far between in the game, Derby did not take their chances and if they are to keep the pressure on the top two, must be more clinical – they have drawn three of their last four Championship games.
The Owls are winless in their last seven league games, which could see them in a relegation battle as they teeter just six points above the drop zone with critical games coming thick and fast. They are without many key players due to injuries/suspensions, including top scorer Gary Hooper.
Players to watch: Academy product Jordan Thorniley is expected to keep Daniel Pudil out of the squad after he played a brilliant game in the heart of the Wednesday defence in their latest draw.
Matej Vydra (DER) extended his scoring tally as Championship top scorer with 17 goals – can he make it a hat-trick of goals in games after scoring in two consecutively?
Stat attack: Derby are unbeaten in 18 of the last 19 meetings between the sides in all competitions, and there have been under 2.5 goals scored in four of the last five fixtures.
Six of the last nine meetings between the sides have seen just one team scoring.
